China has promised to accelerate negotiations with the European Union (EU) on various issues while seeking to strengthen bonds with business partners in the time of tensions with the United States. Chinese Trade Minister Wang Wentao carried out a video with European Commissioner for Economic Trade and Security, Maros Sefcovic, on Tuesday (8), the Asian government said.
Wang and Sefcovic discussed a series of bilateral trade issues, including electric vehicles and the so -called reciprocal tariffs imposed by the White House, according to the China Ministry of Commerce.
The minister and commissioner agreed to conduct negotiations on electric vehicle prices and also talked about investment cooperation in the automotive industry.
