The period to request the exemption of the registration fee in the National High School Exam (Enem) of 2025 will be between April 14 and 25.
The exemption of the registration fee must be requested exclusively by the participant’s page, with the unique login of the Federal Government Services Portal, Gov.br.
To request exemption from payment of the registration fee for ENEM 2025, the participant must inform the number of his individual registration (CPF) and the date of birth. Personal data must be equal to those registered in the IRS.
Who can request exemption
The National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) provides for free to:
Enrolled in the 3rd year of high school in public school (in 2025), in any modality of education (regular or youth and adult education – EJA);
Students who attended all high school in a public school or as a full scholarship in private school;
Students with monthly income equal to or less than a minimum and a half wage (R $ 2,277, in 2025);
People in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability with active registration in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) of the Federal Government.

Based on this list, candidates must prove compliance with the requirements to get the exemption of the ENEM registration fee.
Documents accepted for the request for gratuity are described in Annex II of the Notice. Among them, the school statement that proves to be attending the last grade of high school in 2025, in the public network; and proof of declared income.

Justification of absence
The candidate who had the gratuity of last year’s Enem registration fee, but did not attend a day or two days of tests, in the 2024 edition, and still wants to participate in the 2025 edition freely will have to justify the absence.
According to the announcement, the deadline for making the justification will be the same as the application for exemption from the registration fee: from 14 to 11:59 pm on April 25.

Inep warns that no self -declaratory documents will be accepted or issued by parents or guardians of the candidate.
Timeline
On May 12, Inep will disclose the results of the rate exemption requests and also if the absence justifications were accepted in 2024 for new gratuity.
The resource period will be from May 12 to 16. The result of the resources will come out on May 22.

Only after this schedule will MEC open the official registration period in this year’s edition of Enem. A specific announcement with dates and rules will still be published.
Enem
Established in 1998, the National High School Examination annually evaluates the students’ school performance at the end of high school. Participants who have not yet completed high school can participate as trainers, and the results obtained in the exam only serve to self -assess knowledge.
Enem notes can be used in selection processes coordinated by the Ministry of Education, such as Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (ProUni) and the Federal Government’s Higher Education Student Financing Fund.

Enem performance is also considered to enter Portugal’s higher education institutions that have an agreement with Inep. The agreements guarantee facilitated access to the grades of Brazilian students interested in attending higher education in that country.
The exam is also applied to people deprived of liberty or under socio -educational measures, on different dates from regular ENEM.
