United States Vice President Jd Vance dropped the Ohio State University National University Football Championship trophy during a tribute to the White House on Monday (14).
Vance, Ohio State’s former student, tried to erect the trophy, which apparently separated from the base while the vice president shook him in his hands.

With the band of Marines body playing Queen’s “We Are The Champions” “We Are The Champions”, a team player next to Vance quickly recovered the trophy.

Vance later minimized the (almost) accident, posting at X: “I didn’t want anyone after Ohio State took the trophy, so I decided to break it.”

The moment occurred after Vance and President Donald spoke alongside Ohio State players and coaches, who defeated the University of Notre Dame 34 to 23 in the final played on January 20 – the same day of Trump’s inauguration.
