It really won’t be long until the PS5 Pro is officially released, and so far we knew very little about the exact specifications of the extra powerful console. The official manual now sheds at least a little more light on the matter. The instruction manual has already been leaked and reveals, among other things, that the mid-gen console has a performance of 16.7 TeraFLOPS.
We finally know more: the technical specifications of the PS5 Pro have leaked
That’s what it’s about: The official release of the PS5 Pro is scheduled for November 7th – this week. The mid-gen console offers significantly more power than the normal PS5, but also costs a lot. So far, however, Sony has remained surprisingly secretive when it comes to the exact technical details. Now we at least know a little more.

PS5 Pro – Trailer presents enhanced games to make the power console attractive to us
Where does the information come from? From the safety manual that comes with every PS5 Pro. This instruction manual provides an overview of the console’s specs – at least as far as the very basic and fundamental things are concerned.
16.7 TeraFLOPS and 2 GB DDR5 RAM more: In addition to the 2 TB SSD and a significantly more powerful GPU, the additional 2 GB of DDR5 RAM also stand out. They are apparently available to the operating system, while 16 GB of GDDR is allocated to the graphics card and CPU.

This is what TeraFLOPS mean: In very simple terms, the value refers to how many trillion calculations can be carried out per second. However, the whole thing should be viewed with caution because the TeraFLOPS alone do not necessarily indicate how well a console can be played. You can find more information on the topic here:
How big is the jump? Of course, to provide some context, we can look at the comparison. Purely in terms of TeraFLOPS, the PS5 Pro is now at the top and replaces the Xbox Series X (12.14 TeraFLOPS) as the most powerful console to date. However, the jump from PS5 (10.28 tflops) to PS5 Pro is significantly smaller than that made by the PS4 Pro (4.2 tflops) compared to the PS4 (1.84 tflops).
How good is the PS5 Pro really? We can’t tell you exactly at the moment, but we can at least reveal this much: The good piece has now arrived at our tester and hardware guru Chris and he is already working flat out to put the new console through its paces . You can find out more in the big GamePro test for the PS5 Pro.
What do you think of the newly published specs of the PS5 Pro? What do you think of the TeraFLOPS number and the additional memory?
