The Federal Police launched on Thursday (10) Operation Copy and Cola, which investigates deviations from public resources in the health area in Sorocaba (SP). The mayor of the city, Rodrigo Manga (Republicans), is one of the targets of the search and seizure warrants fulfilled by the PF, according to the CNN Brazil
According to the station, agents were at the mayor’s residence this morning. The investigation, which began in 2022, investigates the performance of a criminal organization that would have defrauded the hiring of a social organization (OS) to manage health services in the municipality.
According to the Federal Police, the suspects would also have committed money laundering through deposits in kind, payment of bills and real estate transactions. 28 search and seizure warrants were issued in 14 cities of São Paulo – including Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Santo André and Santos – besides Vitória da Conquista, in Bahia.
The Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region also determined the kidnapping of assets and values of up to R $ 20 million and prohibited the investigated to enter into contracts with the government.
Also according to the PF, the investigated can be responsible for active and passive corruption, money laundering, embezzlement, illegal direct hiring and bid frustration.
Rodrigo Manga gained national projection for his performance on social networks. At Tiktok, it has 2.9 million followers and more than 60 million likes, plus another 2.7 million Instagram followers.

Last week, the mayor announced that he intends to run for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026, and revealed the invitation of the PRTB, which launched Pablo Marçal in the dispute for the city of São Paulo in 2024.
