Stardew Valley Update 1.6 is released today for consoles and mobile! After the PC version was updated a few months ago, all other platforms are finally following suit. We will keep you up to date here and update the article regularly as soon as there is news about the release.
PC fans are also getting a patch today. All versions are available directly Version 1.6.9 raised. In any case, the update is for you for free. It should stay that way forever, as developer Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone has assured.

Good morning! We are keeping an eye on all relevant channels today and will update this ticker as soon as there is news about the release of update 1.6.9. During the PC release, Barone pressed the button after making his first coffee in the morning. That was around 7 p.m. according to German time!
Stardew Valley Update 1.6 on consoles – This is what’s in it
Version 1.6 contains a whole range of new content that you can look forward to. The official patch notes for the PC version are quite a bit longer.
For the additional changes in the smaller patch to version 1.6.9 you can download them here planned changes from the update beta look at. These are mainly a few bug fixes.
- a completely new farm
- several new events
- over 400 new items and recipes
- new NPC dialogues
- new NPC outfits in winter
- new quest
- new secrets
- and much more
Creator’s Tip: By the way, developer ConcernedApe recommends that you start a new save game. Some of the new features relate to the first year. So with an advanced farm you might miss out on a few things. However, most of the content can also be accessed later.
It’s best to take a look today. If Barone shows any sign of life or of course if the update goes live later today, you’ll find out here! We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it won’t take too long and that you can get started with your new or old farm as soon as possible.
