US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the United States will impose additional 50% tariffs on China from April 9 if China does not remove the 34% surcharge.
He also stated that all conversations with China about meetings with the US will be closed and negotiations with other countries will begin to occur immediately.
Trump reiterated that additional 50% rates will take effect on April 9, if China does not remove the 34% surcharge until April 8, as reported by Reuters.
