What to look at the week

After days of cooling of the trade war between China and the US, with advancement of reciprocal rates between countries, investors will learn more details of the Chinese economy in the coming days. The week will be shorter by the Easter holiday, in which there will be no trading session at B3.

On Tuesday, April 15, China will present industrial production, retail sales, investment in fixed assets, unemployment rate and GDP from the first quarter. These data are critical to understanding the health of the Chinese economy and its implications for the global market.

The domestic agenda will be deeper with relevant indicators. On Monday, April 14, the Central Bank of Brazil will publish the Focus report, which brings market expectations regarding the economy. On the same date, Secex will disclose the trade balance, which is an important indicator to evaluate the performance of Brazilian foreign trade.

On Wednesday, April 16, Brazil will feature the disclosure of IPC-S and IGP-M, which are price rates that help monitor inflation. The Central Bank of Brazil will also publish the currency flow, a data that shows the movement of currency in the country. These indicators are essential for the analysis of monetary policy and economic expectations.

On Thursday, April 17, the European Central Bank will announce its monetary policy decision. This event is relevant to markets as it can impact interest rates and economy in Europe. In the US, this week, the most relevant data is retail sales and industrial production.
