Sad news has come out from South Cinema. Stuntman Mohanraj alias Raju, famous for the car overturning stunt, died in an accident while shooting a similar scene on the previous day. Raju died during the shooting of the film Vetuvam, with Shobhita Dhulipala and Arya in the lead roles. After the news came out, the lead actor of the film Arya Vishal has promised that he will bear the cost of stuntman Raju’s family. At the same time, the All India Cine Workers Association has strongly condemned the accident and demanded a complaint against the producers.

South star Vishal, confirming the death of stuntman Raju with his official X account (first Twitter), wrote emotionally, “It is very difficult to accept that Raju died this morning while doing a car topling sequence in the film of Arya (actor) and Ranjit (producer). I had known Raju for many years and he had been doing dangerous stunts for my films from time to time.

Further, the actor has written, ‘My deep condolences,’ May his soul be peaceful. God gives courage to his family for their damage. It is not just this tweet but I will always be for the future of his family. Being from the same industry and his contribution to many films, I give me my support as my duty.
Cine Workers Association demands FIR against producer
After the news of the death of Stuntman Raju, the All India Cine Workers Association has demanded a complaint against producer Ranjit for not having the necessary safety majors on the set. He issued a note and wrote, ‘On Viwar, a tragic accident occurred during the shooting of the Tamil film Wettuvam, where stuntman Mohanraj died due to lack of safety arrangement in the set. This film is P.A. Ranjit produced under his banner Neelam Production.
It is further written, ‘Despite many wake-up calls, producers ignore the safety protocol to save money and compromise the lives of technicians and workers.’

The association has also demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore to Raju’s family along with demanding a complaint against the producers. It is also said that shooting of the film Wettuvam should be stopped and safety inspection will be done on the set of all films.
A case of Raju’s death has been registered at the Kelaiyur police station in Tamil Nadu. The investigation is currently underway.
