However, there was a time when Salman Khan was going to play the role of Lord Shri Ram in the film Ramayana years before Ranbir Kapoor. He had also started preparing for this role, but the film had to be closed due to the affair of Sohail Khan and Pooja Bhatt.

The recent Times of India report quoted the film’s Insider associated with the film as saying that Sohail Khan announced the film Ramayana in the 90s. He started his career as a director with a 1997 film tool. Earlier, he was about to make Ramayana, in which Salman Khan was given the role of Lord Shri Ram and Sonali Bendre as Mother Sita.

After some time, actress and producer Pooja Bhatt also joined the production of the film. 40 percent of the film’s shooting was completed and Salman also started promoting the film. Meanwhile, the closeness of Sohail Khan and Pooja Bhatt started growing on the set. Pooja was serious in this relationship. In the year 1995, Pooja Bhatt said in an interview to Stardust magazine that she and Sohail are talking about marriage. Pooja also met Sohail’s family. Pooja had said that she sees her future together, she is thinking about marriage, but before that Sohail is focusing on her career.

Soon this news reached Sohail’s father Salim Khan. He was against this relationship. He asked Sohail to end the relationship.

The matter deteriorated so much that Pooja Bhatt left the film angrily and the production of the film stopped. Salman Khan tried to improve the matter, but his every attempt failed. This was the reason that the film Ramayana was stopped only after 40 percent.

Now years later, the film Ramayana is being made on this title, in which Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are in the lead roles. Salman Khan may not be able to do the film Ramayana, although he has appeared in the getup of Lord Ram for a scene of the film Andaz Apna.
