After ‘Nadaniyan’, Ibrahim Ali Khan’s second film ‘Sarjmin’ has been released on OTT platform Jiohotstar. The film, made under the banner of Dharma Productions, is directed by Boman Irani’s son Qayoj Irani. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol have an important role in Ibrahim Ali Khan in this film. The length of this film is 2 hours 17 minutes. Dainik Bhaskar has rated the film 3 out of 5 stars.

What is the story of the film?

The country tops the Brigadier Vijay Menon (Prithviraj). But when his son Harman (Ibrahim), abducted during a mission and in return terrorists ask for the release of their partner, the most difficult decision comes in front of Vijay.

At the behest of his wife Mehranisha (Kajol), he agrees to release, but at the last moment the country’s memory overshadows the son and he firing. Terrorists take Harman again.

Herman returns after 8 years, but now his motive has changed. The mother hugs her, but the father’s suspicion does not end. It is from here that the story turns. Has it really changed or has it become a pawn at the hands of the enemy?

How is the acting of Starcast?

Prithviraj has done strong work with stagnation and dignity in the role of an army officer. Kajol brings emotional depth in the role of mother and also surprise in climax. Ibrahim has done a better job than the previous film, but still needs more hard work. The intensity of Herman’s character is not fully felt.

How is the film direction and technical side?

Kayoz Irani has tried to show the conflict of patriotism and paternity in the debut direction. In between, films like ‘Shakti’ and ‘Fana’ get a glimpse. There are many twists in the story, out of which some are more impact, some seem to be more. The climax is emotional and shocking, but the grip in the mid part is a bit loose.

The dialogues of the film “At the forefront country, it does not mean that the son is behind” and “I forgot … My son is different from me, he is not afraid to change like me, fights difficulty”, stinging and touching the heart.

How is the music of the film?

The songs are according to the situation, but not memorable. The background score is average.

The film shows that when a military uniform and a father’s heart stands face to face, every decision is not easy. If you like emotional drama, father-son struggle and patriotic films. So you will like this film, although the story of more twist and slow speed distracts attention.
