Model Ruchi Gurjar has filed a case of cheating of Rs 30 lakh against Karan Singh, producer of the film ‘So Long Valley’.
According to PTI report, the case has been registered at Oshiwara police station in Mumbai.
According to the police officer, the complaint was lodged on Thursday. The complaint states that Karan Singh took money from model interest in the name of starting the TV project.
The police officer said that interest in the case alleges that Karan Singh had promised him to work in a TV show for a channel. It was said that she would be part of the production team. His name will also be given in credit and will get a share in the profit.
It was said in the complaint that but this project was never made and Karan Singh did not return the money.
Ruchi has worked in many Hindi and Haryanvi music videos like “Jab Tu Meri Nahi Rahi”, “Haley Mein Chor” and “Ek Girl”.
There was an uproar over the matter at the film’s premiere on Friday night. A video went viral on social media, in which Ruchi Gurjar is seen hitting Karan Singh during the program.
Ruchi said that return my money, the matter is over. I have been trapped for two years. I want my money with interest, this is my hard earned money.
Case filed under BNS sections
According to the report of India Today, Mumbai Police has registered a case against Karan Singh under sections 318 (4), 352 and 351 (2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
In the FIR, the model has also given its account number and related documents. The police is now investigating their bank transaction, call log and other evidence.
Ruchi earlier came into the limelight when she wore a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Cannes Film Festival. That picture had a lot of discussion on social media.
