On 15 January, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by entering his house. Shariful Islam was arrested in this case. Recently, Shariful Islam had demanded bail, although the Bandra police have opposed the petition and said that they have strong evidence against Shariful. The next hearing of the case will be held on 1 August.
In Bandra Court, Bandra Police has filed a reply on the bail plea of Shariful Islam. In this, he quoted forensic investigation as saying that Saif matches a knife piece from the body of Ali Khan and a knife found from the crime scene, with a knife found near Shariful Islam.
The police also emphasized that Shariful Islam is a Bangladeshi citizen, who was illegally living in India. It is also feared that he may run to Bangladesh as soon as he gets bail. Police say the crime done by Shariful Islam is of a very serious tendency and has strong evidence against him.
Shariful Islam said in the bail plea- the allegations are fictional
On July 18, Shariful Islam filed a bail petition. Advocate Vipul Dushing on his behalf has written in the petition that there is no criminal record of Shariful. The investigation of the incident is almost complete, now only the charge sheet is left. CCTV footage, call records and necessary evidence are already with the prosecution. There is no longer a danger like tampering with evidence and affecting witnesses.
Shariful Islam was arrested on 18 January.
The lawyer says that the current FIR has nothing but the imaginary story of the complainant. This is the reason why Shariful Islam should now be granted bail.
The petition filed has also stated that Section 47 of BNSS (Indian Civil Protection Code) has been violated in this case, in which the arrested person is informed about the reasons for his arrest and the rights of bail.
Saif Ali Khan was attacked on 15 January
On the night of 15 January, Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife by entering his house. The incident took place at around 2.30 pm in the 12th floor of Guru Sharan apartment in Khar, Mumbai.

House Made had told the police that he suddenly saw a shadow near the bathroom late at night that Kareena might have come to see her younger son, but later she was suspicious and she went ahead. Suddenly a person attacked the woman and asked him to keep quiet, showing sharp weapons.
Meanwhile, the second med also came. During this time, the attacker demanded one crore rupees from Made (Naini), who took care of the children. During this, Saif Ali Khan also reached there and when he saw, there was a scuffle between unknown accused and Saif.
Made said in his statement that there were 3 female and 3 male servants in the house at the time of the attack. After the attack, Ibrahim and Sara Ali Khan also live on the eighth floor in the same building. He came up and went to the hospital in an auto with Saif Ali Khan. No driver was present at home. No one knows the automatic electric vehicle to drive, so he reached Lilavati Hospital by auto. A piece of knife was found from his back during treatment. He was treated for 5 days.
