Actress Sheeba Chadha has been working in the film industry since 1998. His first film was Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala’s ‘Dil Se’.
Graduate Sheeba and Shah Rukh’s college from Hansraj College in Delhi was the same, but he was his senior. Despite this, Sheeba played the role of her mother in films.
In an interview to Siddharth Kannan recently, Sheeba told,
My role in ‘Dil Se’ was so small that I do not even remember, but I got a chance to shoot and see Shahrukh in Darjeeling.
Sheeba further told,
When I went for the shoot, Manisha Koirala was not there. One day it was to be shot in the snow and to take an essential scene in which both of them are walking together. For this, director Mani Ratnam himself asked me if I can become her body double by wearing Manisha’s costume.
Sheeba has also worked with Shah Rukh with ‘Dil Se’, ‘Phir Dil Hai Hindustani’, ‘Raees’ and ‘Zero’.
Sheeba said that even though her role in ‘Dil Se’ was small, she later got a chance to share the screen with Shah Rukh in ‘Raees’ and ‘Zero’.
Sheeba told,
I played his mother in both films, but he is a senior of my college. Now I am thinking that I could not remember this thing.
Sheeba further said, “
At the time of Raees, he went to Delhi for an interview. There she said that she is an actress who plays my mother in this film, pay attention to her, she is a great actress. He said all this when I did not have a single scene with him. He is a very different kind of person.
Sheeba also mentioned Shahrukh’s Gentleman behavior. Sheeba told,
There was a scene in ‘Zero’, in which he was beating and I had to save them. Before the shoot, he came to me and said, ‘Can I touch you?’ I said, ‘Yes, okay, come on.’
Sheeba said that Shahrukh is a very cute person. I knew my name before coming on the set, and this feeling is different.
Sheeba has appeared in TV shows like ‘Kasturi’, ‘Na Aana Is Desh Lado’, ‘Kisi Mohabbat Hai’, and ‘Hitler Didi’.
Sheeba’s birth and childhood was spent in Delhi. He was very interested in theater, so he started participating in the theater workshops. He studied in English literature from Hansraj College, Delhi University.
Sheeba played different roles in films like ‘Parajaniya’, ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Lakka by Chance’ and ‘Talaash’. In the 2015 film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, the character of ‘Nain Tara Tiwari’ was well liked by the people.
At the same time, Sheeba Chadha received the Nomination of Filmfare Award for great acting in films ‘Badha Do’ and ‘Doctor Ji’. He also received this award for ‘Congratulations Do’.
