The film The Bengal files are in controversy before the trailer release. Recently its trailer has been released, whose grandson in the Muslim League, Shantanu, the grandson of Gopal Mukherjee, has sent a notice against director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.
Actually, the trailer of the film was written in the introduction of Gopal Mukherjee. Shantanu has filed a complaint and accused the makers of presenting the wrong image of his grandfather. He says that Gopal Mukherjee was not a butcher but a wrestler and the main member of the Anushilan Samiti. He played an important role in stopping the Muslim League riots in 1946, although he is now being introduced to the world as a butcher.

In this case, Shantanu has issued a notice to director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, which clearly states that Vivek apologizes to Gopal Mukherjee for his wrong portrayal. He has also said that presenting the wrong image of Gopal Mukherjee is not only wrong, but it will also hurt the family and the community.
The trailer of the film is in controversy
The film has been in controversy since the announcement. It was strongly opposed in West Bengal. After which director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri released the trailer in Kolkata on 16 August. At the time of the trailer release, some opponents tried to obstruct it and cut the wires. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has held the ruling party of West Bengal responsible for this.

Vivek further said- I have now come to know that some people came here and cut all the wires. I do not know on whose orders this is happening. You know who are the people behind us. The event was being held after all the tests and trials. Even hotel managers are unable to tell us why we were stopped.
Vivek has directed ‘The Bengal files’. While its producers are Abhishek Aggarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. It will feature Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar in important roles.
