The film ‘What will Mannu do?’ Curius is made under the banner of Eye Films.
‘What will Mannu do by Sharad Mehra?’ Produced by Sharad Mehra? Gives a big message in a low budget. This is evidence that when the intention is clear, small stories also say a big thing. Recently, the youth’s romantic film ‘Saira’ received a good response and in many ways ‘what will Mannu do?’ It is also being compared to him.
Film story
The story is of Mannu (Vyom), situated in the backdrop of Dehradun, which is good in every work but is confused about life. Then he meets Jia (Sachi Bindra), which is ambitious and target-centered. Mannu creates a fake start-up company named ‘Nathing’ to influence him. Gradually, the trap of lies gets bigger and when its truth is revealed, the relationship, family and their expectations start to break. At this point, Professor Don (Vinay Pathak) comes into his life and shows the path of ‘Ikigai’ – that is, learning to find the real purpose of life.
Vyom Yadav, who played Mannu in the film, has also worked in films like Gargi and Badha Do Do.
Acting in the film
Vyom has played Mannu’s character with innocence and attraction. Sachi Bindra looks confident and mature in Jia’s role. Kumud Mishra and Charu Shankar looked sensitive and effective as parents. Vinay Pathak is the life of the entire film, his ‘Don’ character is different and memorable. Artists like Brijendra Kala and Rajesh Kumar also made the atmosphere real.
Direction and music of the film
Sanjay Tripathi’s direction is full of simplicity. Many small moments in the film touch the heart-such as silent moments with parents or light things with friends. Music has 9 songs, in which ‘Fana Hua’ and ‘Humanwa’ leave an impact on the heart. However, Malini Awasthi’s song seems different. Still the album is not that it is heard again and again.
Film shortcomings
Some scenes seem long, which could have been a film and crisp. The end is also a slightly abolished hasty, so that the story does not get the correct closure.
