Divyendu Sharma, who played the role of Munna Tripathi in the Mirzapur series, was recently seen dancing to his new song ‘Zulmi Savariya’. The song is based on Garba Festive Vibe and the energy of Divyendu is clearly visible in it. Recently, in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, he spoke openly on shooting, song experience and his dance journey.
Question: When you brought this song with this vibe, what was the feeling when the song was first narrated?
answer: Very good experience, the song was immediately liked. Many times it happens that the stars make their own harmony and the same thing comes in your part that you have to do. This happened with this song. It was a lot of fun working and when people are getting such good reactions, happiness increases even more.
Question: Every character has a different style and attitude. It also showed it in dance song, what is its secret?
answer: I try to enjoy whatever I am doing. Perhaps the same enjoyment is also visible on the screen.
Question: How was the experience of working with Amit Trivedi?
answer: Amit is Kamal’s composer and singer. He has made such a beautiful and easy Garba song that people would like not only dance but also humming it. Festive songs are often high tempo, but have a perfect balance. Working with him was a great chance.

Question: Any special memories related to your garba?
answer: The first memory is the same when I lived in Bangur Nagar, Goregaon. It was a very good and quiet society. There was a very big ground, where there was a magnificent garba. I was stunned when I saw the first time. It felt like it is a big event. The Diwali fair is considered to be the biggest in our North India, but when I saw this garba, it seemed that it is different and special than that.
We were also thinking of joining inside, but the people there were dancing with so much preparation that we would be caught from far away, so we left. But then it was understood that this big celebration is in Mumbai. Of course, in Gujarat, it will be more pompous.
It was very good to see everyone in colorful clothes, their preparations, celebrating together. In fact, such cultural opportunities are necessary in the city, where people come together happily, celebrate, music. I believe that such festivals should continue throughout the year, because they make us a better person.

Question: How was the atmosphere of dance and energy on the set?
answer: Spectacular. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly worked amazing. Their steps were so easy and comfortable that they were caught immediately. Producers Hitendra and Piyush also created a very beautiful atmosphere. The entire set looked like a film shoot.
Question: Actors with film institutes are considered skillful in acting and weak in dance, how did you break this perception?
answer: Before going to the Film Institute (FTII), I have danced a lot in the processions in Delhi, so everyone has an understanding of Sur-Tal. I do not understand why people think about dancing, ‘Hey, you also dance?’ Hey man, who is the one who does not dance! The only difference is that some people dance in the rhythm and some in their own style. Thankfully, we dance in the tone.
