Anupam Kher is playing the role of Gandhi in ‘The Bengal Files’. During the Dainik Bhaskar Realty Award 2025 held in Dubai, the actor said that he did not eat non -veg for a year to play Gandhiji.
Anupam Kher, who has played many different influential characters from summary to Kashmir files, says that there are some characters that have to be done in different ways. Among them, Gandhi also plays. During this, Anupam also discussed about a learning learning.
During the Dainik Bhaskar Realty Award 2025 held in Dubai, Anupam Kher was asked that the summary to Kashmir files have played many different effective characters. Now Gandhiji’s iconic role is played in The Bengal files. How much pressure and excitement is there about this?
Father had removed the fear of failure
In response to this question, Anupam Kher said- I do not take life with so much pressure. I do not work in pressure. I always think what will happen more and more? When such thinking comes, then you feel very much. Long ago, the father had removed the fear of failure from my mind.
Dad had said a very good thing- ‘Failure is an event, Never a person’ but the event fails. Now if this mike stops working then we did not fail. Rather the event failed. Standing ahead in the event, we will speak loudly.
Was not good at all in studies
Anupam Kher shared an anecdote of childhood. Said- I was not good at all in studies. I never got more than 38 % marks. Father had to always have to sign the report card. I used to sign when my father was in a hurry. So that they do not look and sign the report card, but one day my luck was bad.
Dad gave learning of life
The key of his store was left inside and went to pick him up. Seeing my report card, you said that you have come 59th in your class. Ask how many students are there? I told 60. I felt that he would be scolded or said something, but he stopped a little and said- Son, there is one thing that always comes first in education and sports. They always have tension to come first. If he comes second, he thinks that there is a demotion. But the one who comes 59th can also come 48th, 36th and 32th.
Not a human, but the event fails
Next to 48th. Then he told that the event fails, not a person. When father gives such a learning of life, then no strength of the world can remove you. We are afraid of failure. We make us feel small.
It was a matter of some difficulty in this role in ‘The Bengal Files’. There are some roles that have to be done in different ways. From the preparation of this film to shooting, he stayed away from alcohol and non -veg for one year.
