Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap often shares his clear and innocent opinion about the film industry. Now in a recent interview, Anurag has criticized the music label company T-series. Taking a dig at the T-series, he said that it does not care about the quality of label music and only pays attention to which star is associated with it.
During a conversation with The Jagarnot, Anurag was asked about the impact of music in his films like ‘Dev D’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. In response, Anurag says- ‘Our aim was not to meet the market needs. If T-Series, Bhushan Kumar is not buying it, then it is a good music. T-series does not buy good music at a good price. He gave very little money for ‘Dev D’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ or ‘Gulal’. They only pay money for who is the star in it. They do not pay for good quality music. He did not pay anything for the music music of Dev D. Ask the producer, UTV Studio … They do not understand what a good music is. They only pay for a special kind of music and only insist on that.

In this conversation, Anurag says that he was given the most money for his flop film. He says- Most of my money has been given for ‘Bombay Velvet’ for any of my films. It was great in terms of music, but it was the least effective for them. Because no one wanted to listen to Jazz. He paid the highest price for this, not Dev D or Gangs of Wasseypur.
Let us know that Anurag’s film ‘Dev D’ and ‘Gulal’ were released in the year 2009. At the same time, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ in 2012. These three films are counted among the Cult films. Even after almost two decades, their music is still popular among the youth. At the same time, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starred the starrer film ‘Bombay Velvet’ in 2015. Even after the big faces, the film was badly beaten at the box office.
