Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao has got a big relief. The Punjab and Haryana High Court have stayed the hearing of the lower court against them. This case is related to his 2017 film “Bahn Hogi Teri”, in which he was accused of hurting religious sentiments.

Last month, the case was heard in a Jalandhar court, after which Rajkumar Rao approached the High Court. A bench of Justice Yashveer Singh Rathore, after hearing both sides, stayed the trial court proceedings and the next hearing date has been fixed December 10.

Final decision will be taken in case on 10 December After listening to both sides, the High Court clarified that the trial court proceedings against Rajkummar Rao would be stayed until the next hearing is held. The court said that it would be checked whether there is a solid basis for really hurting religious sentiments or is it only a holding dispute.

After this decision, Rajkummar Rao is currently relieved, but the final decision will be decided only after the December 10 hearing.

What is the matter? This case was registered in the year 2017 at Police Division No. 5, Jalandhar. The complainant, who is said to be the local Shiv Sena leader and the producer of the film, alleged that Lord Shankar was improperly depicted in the film, hurting the religious sentiments of Hindu society. The complaint also said that a poster and scenes of the film were objectionable.

On this basis, the police had registered a case against the film’s director Nitin Kakkar, producer Amul Vikas Mohle, actress Shruti Haasan and actor Raj Kumar Rao under various sections including sections 295-A and 153-A. Shruti Haasan has already got bail from the court.
