Preparations are on to make a film on the popular Indian superhero show Shaktimaan for a long time. Soni Pictures had asked actor Mukesh Khanna for the rights of the film, but as soon as the news came out that Ranveer Singh would play Shaktimaan in the film, Mukesh Khanna refused to give the rights. Ranveer Singh also reached his office to convince him and had a conversation for 3 hours, but the matter did not happen even then. Now Mukesh Khanna has said that he will not allow him to become Shaktimaan with Ranveer Singh, even if he has to go to the court.
In an interview to Galata India recently, Mukesh Khanna was asked when Shaktimaan (film) would come. On this, he said, I have been late and lying down with my own stubbornness. This Shaktimaan film was disturbed by the film 2 years ago, but I again disturbed and said that I want a proper casting Shaktimaan. The talk about a star is stuck. I have not received the answer yet. I cannot say when it will come.
He further said, Shaktimaan’s IPR (Intellectual Property Right) is still mine, for 6 years we have given them (Sony Picture) rights, to make a film. I have written that the soul of the film will not be chanted. But I did not write then that you will ask me to the actor. He says that Sir will ask us, but the final call will be ours. If I had known first, I would never sign.

He further said- I no longer use Shaktimaan songs, because I have given it to him. This is the era of agreement. I had given accidentally. Those people also know that we cannot make Mukesh ji and we cannot make it. My loss to crores is suffering. They were giving a check of crores. My accountant said, take the check. But I said that I can do this that I should take a check and then object. I said I do not want a check. Nobody does this. I did, this is my stupidity, but I am a man of principles.
