Actress Kalki Koechlin has spoken about all her experiences related to the industry in a recent interview. He told how he has faced casting couch twice. How did he make bad feel due to his look in the industry. How he advised a producer to take Botox. And all these things were spoken in a very casual way.
In an interview to Zoom, Kalki referred to the first incident that occurred when she was a student in London and went to Cannes as Nokia phone promo girl. She says- ‘This has happened to me twice when I became very uncomfortable. The first experience is not associated with this industry. My first experience is ear. At that time I was not even an actress. I was a student in London. I went to sell Nokia phone in my ear. I was the promo girl of Nokia phone. There was an Indian producer who knew a person associated with my mother. He called me at the screening of his film. Later, they invited me to dinner. When I asked him about the work opposite, he clearly said that I have to stay with him for this.
Kalki started his career with a cameo role in the film ‘Laga Chunri Mein Daag’ in 2007.
She faced the second experience of the casting couch when she came to Mumbai to work in the film industry. During the audition of a Major film, a producer told him that he wanted to know him better.
She says-‘This happened on the second time when I went to audition for a film. The producer told me, you want to do this film… This is a very good thing but I have to know because it is a big launch. It was exactly the same as I want to know you. Walk with me at dinner. Then I told him, Sorry, I do not want to waste you or my time. ‘
Kalki appeared in the lead film ‘Dev D’.
Talking about the actress’ workfront, she was seen in director Vishnuvardhan’s Tamil romantic action thriller ‘Nasippaya’. Kalki will soon be seen in the English film ‘Emma and Angel’.
