N. Raghuraman, Management Guru
To go to Amritsar from Mumbai, I was standing in line related to the security check of the airport at 4 am on Saturday. My cousin from America and her parents living in Chennai wanted to travel to Sriharminder Sahib and also wanted to see Beating retreat on the Wagah-Attari border. Since it was a day -to -evening journey for me, I did not have luggage.
I put my wrist watch, purse and mobile in a plastic bag and put it in a tray, which also had some more items. Before keeping it, I asked the CISF jawan, ‘Will it go?’ He looked at me carefully for a few seconds and said to Tapak, ‘You are yours, so it will work’. As soon as she said this, the eyes of other passengers turned towards me, as if she was quietly asking ‘who is this’. I shook hands with the young man and said, ‘Thank you for starting my day with such positiveness.’ ‘
You are yours, so it will go on, ‘This normal sentence filled me with great pride and it forced me to find such a person, so that I could transfer a small part of this pride. As soon as I reached the boarding gate, I saw a young mother who was going from Canada to Amritsar with her six -year -old girl. The mother was telling her baby girl to shape her hair and let her peak.
But a sleepy girl was refusing. I went there and said to the girl, ‘Wow, how many beautiful hair you have, I like it very much.’ On hearing this, her little eyes glowed and she sat back towards her mother to quickly make the peak. Then the mother in the aircraft thanked me for the miracle in the child’s behavior due to this praise.
As soon as I reached Amritsar, there was an accident. My 72 -year -old aunt fell into the washroom, her lips were badly exploded, due to which we had to seek the help of plastic surgeons. We reached Livasa Hospital with the car that came to Sriharminder Sahib and Wagah-Atari border and bring it back. My colleague Vikramjit requested our health correspondent Ranjan Gosain to assist. Ranjan immediately took over the position.
At the behest of young, calm and extremely professional plastic surgeon Dr. Amiteshwar Singh, Ranjan made rounds several times and spent money from his pocket and brought medicines, stitches. Ranjan stayed there with me there and he also asked us that since you have left home early in the morning, he can also arrange breakfast.
Dr. Singh had advised the aunt for rest, so Ranjan also assisted us in booking a hotel immediately, which was not in our journey plan earlier. At the time of the return flight at 10 o’clock in the night, I was tired and hungry and wanted to sleep. The woman sitting on the seat next to me urged me to change the seat with her child sitting in front of two lines, so that she could feed her in the food brought with her. Generally I do not leave my paid seat.
But due to the good experiences received since morning, I gave my seat to that 15 -year -old child. Thirty minutes after the flight, the woman came to me with a plate filled with Amritsari Kulcha and delicious gram-spicy, which she herself cooked.
Believe it was not just food, but there was a flavor of the devotees of Sriharminder Sahib. I felt like the gurus themselves are saying, ‘What happened, what you did not see me.’ You have taken care of my devotees, who are coming to meet me on Sunday. Accept this offerings from me. This spirit made my eyes moist.
Funda is that A seed of good sown in the morning has the ability to become a tree by night. Start the day with some goodness and then look at the changes that you have brought to the society.
