Teyvat, June 5, 2024 – Genshin Impact fans, mark your calendars! The highly anticipated Version 4.7 update is set to launch on June 5, 2024. Maintenance for this update will begin at 6:00 AM (UTC+8) and is expected to last around five hours. During this time, players will be unable to access the game, but will receive compensation in the form of Primogems for the downtime.
New Characters and Storylines
Version 4.7, titled “An Everlasting Dream Intertwined,” introduces three new playable characters: Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. Clorinde, a five-star Electro sword wielder from Fontaine, brings a unique combat style that includes piercing pistolet attacks and a powerful lunging sword attack. Sigewinne, a Melusine and the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide, utilizes her healing abilities to support her team, firing giant bouncing bubbles that both attack enemies and heal allies. Sethos, a four-star Electro archer, can fire piercing arrows and has a special elemental skill that enhances his attack capabilities.
In addition to these new characters, the update includes new story quests for Clorinde and Sigewinne, providing players with deeper insights into their backgrounds and adventures. There is also a new Archon quest chapter titled “Bedtime Story” featuring Lumine, Aether, and Dainslief.

New Game Modes and Events
The update brings a variety of new events and game modes. The “Imaginarium Theater” is a new challenge domain that offers up to 620 Primogems per month as rewards, along with new photo poses and other bonuses. Players can also look forward to the “Mutual Security Enhancing Simulation,” a tower defense mini-game where they can deploy monster troops in offensive or defensive roles.
Additionally, the Original Resin cap will increase from 160 to 200, allowing players more flexibility in managing their in-game activities. The Spiral Abyss, a popular endgame challenge, will now refresh monthly, with increased rewards of up to 800 Primogems for Floors 9 to 12.
