On March 24, 2024, during the VCT Masters Madrid grand finals, Valorant introduced Clove, their newest agent. Clove is the first non-binary agent in Valorant, originating from Scotland. The character is a controller with a butterfly theme and a striking color scheme.

Clove will be available in Valorant on March 26, 2024. The release times vary by region:

Gender and Nationality
Clove is the first non-binary agent in Valorant, using they/them pronouns. According to John Goscicki, Valorant’s Agents Lead, the development team aimed to authentically represent diverse characters, including gender identity. Clove’s Scottish background is reflected in their design, voice, and overall character aesthetics.
Clove’s Abilities
Meddle (Q)
Clove throws a fragment of immortal essence that explodes after a delay, applying a Decay debuff to enemies caught in the blast.
Ruse (E)
This ability allows Clove to view the battlefield on a mini-map and deploy two smokes at selected areas. Unique to Ruse, Clove can use it even after dying.
Pick Me Up (C)
After damaging or killing an enemy, Clove can absorb their life force, gaining Haste and Health. If their health is full, they receive an overheal effect that lasts for six seconds.
Not Dead Yet (X) – Ultimate
Clove can resurrect themselves after dying. Upon activation, Clove enters an ethereal form and can reposition before coming back to life for a limited time. A kill or damage assist during this time ensures a permanent resurrection; otherwise, Clove dies once the timer expires.
