The wedding of Kabir Bedi and Protima Bedi led to two children Pooja and Siddharth.

Actress Pooja Bedi recently recalled her mother and model Protima Bedi and told that she always lived her life in her own way.

Pooja told that her mother had also kept her desire to die close to nature. In the last days of her life, Protima went into the mountains and her body never found.

In a conversation with the screen, Pooja said, “It is very sorry that the mother did not complete even 50 years and left the world. There was a lot that I wanted to do with her, but she was the woman who lived life on her own terms. She lived the same life as she wanted and left the world the same as she wanted. She always said that she wanted to go to nature and be a part of nature.”

Protima Gauri Bedi was a model who later became a dancer.

Pooja further said, “At the end of this beautiful and magnificent life, she did not want a showy ritual of being pushed into a pyre or putting ashes in the Ganges. She wanted to die in nature; that should have been her grand end and it happened. She never got the body. She never got part of the universe and earth. She was just a wonderful energy.”

He met actor Kabir Bedi during modeling. Then both of them married in 1969. In 1974, the two separated.

When Pooja was asked the question whether her mother was expecting her death, the actress said, “She met me, wrote her will, gave me her jewels, handed over all the documents and property papers to me and said, ‘Never know.’ I asked, ‘Why are you getting so dramatic?’ She just said, ‘Never know, darling.’ He handed over everything to him.

Protima died on 18 August 1998 at the age of 49.

Pooja said, “Then she went to Kullu-Manali and wrote a letter of 12 pages to me. In the letter, she wrote the essence of her entire life. Childhood, relationship, marriage, children’s responsibilities, dance journey and the situation before their death. He wrote, ‘I am in Kullu, Kullu means the valley of gods. Am.’ And then she left. This was the last that we heard, what was the life, what was the mother. “
