Actress Sumona Chakraborty, who has been seen as Kapil’s wife in Kapil Sharma Show, has recently told that she has misbehaved in Colaba. A crowd of some protesters stopped their car and started shouting slogans in front of the car. The actress said that she had felt insecure for the first time in Mumbai. In this post, Sumona has also raised his voice against the government.

Giving information about the incident from her official Instagram account, Sumona has said, ‘This afternoon at 12:30 pm. I was going from Colaba to Fort. And suddenly my car was stopped by a mob. A man, who had a saffron dupatta around his neck, started hitting the bonnet of my car, smiling. The stomach that came out was pressing by sticking it to my car. I was doing strange acts in front of my car as if someone was proving a sick issue. His friends were hitting my car windows, “Jai Maharashtra!” He was screaming and laughing. We moved a little further and all the same happened again.

Further, the actress wrote, ‘Twice in 5 minutes. No police. (Those whom they saw later, they were just sitting, talking, were doing timepass) neither law, nor system. I just felt insecure in my car, in broad daylight, South Bombay. And roads? Banana peels, plastic bottles, filled with dirt. Capture pavements. The protesters are the same accounts, sleeping, bathing, cooking, urinating, making video calls, reels, visiting Mumbai in the name of protest. Complete joke of civic sense. ‘

Sumona further wrote, ‘I have spent almost all my life in Bombay (Mumbai). I have always felt safe here, especially in South Bombay. But today, for the first time in many years, in broad daylight, inside my own car, I felt really insecure. Weak. And suddenly I felt lucky, because I had a mail friend with me. I kept thinking again and again what would happen if I were alone? I felt like recording the video, but immediately realized that doing so can provoke them more. So I did not do. ‘

At the end of her post, Sumona wrote, ‘This is scary when you understand who you are or where you are, it does not matter, law and order can collapse in a few seconds. There are peaceful demonstrations, we have seen them for more serious reasons. And the police immediately take action against them. But here? Complete lawlessness. As a tax paying citizen, as a woman, and as a person who loves this city, I am very distracted. We are entitled to better than this, this is not a joke of governance and civil responsibility. We deserve that we can feel safe in our own city.

In the caption of this post, Sumona wrote, ‘It does not look like the fastest growing economy in the world. It does not look like a progressive society. This is not the “digital India”, about which they constantly talk. Because when casteism, religion, politics, corruption, bureaucracy, illiteracy and unemployment are playing, then it is not development. This is a collapse. ‘
