Director Anurag Kashyap is bringing the film ‘Nisanchi’ with new faces. Aishwarya Thackeray, grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray, is making her debut through this film with Kanpuria Touch. Her opposite Vedika Pinto will be seen in the film. After the trailer release, there is a lot of discussion about the acting, film songs and story. Anurag’s first choice for ‘Nisanchi’ was the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Anurag has a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar about the film, actor and new talent.

The trailer of ‘Nisanchi’ is very much liked by the people. It is being talked about everywhere. How is it feeling?

I am feeling very well. We have made a real film of Kanpur-Lucknow. I hope that these people also reached with the same fun and reality. When I came to Mirzapur after Wasseypur, the people of the people are like this. Mirzapur was less in Mirzapur series. I am from Mirzapur. The series does not have the same as it is shown. But it is a successful series.

Due to Wasseypur, people feel that I have invented abuses. I also had this weight on my head. I grew up in Uttar Pradesh and there are many colors there. In this state, colors change at every step. The color of Sonbhadra is different, the color of Banaras is different. The color of Lucknow-Kanpur is different. The Tehzeeb of Lucknow is different and the color of Kanpur is very different. Kanpuriya Bakiti and Attitude are completely different. Kanpur’s Bakiti is amazing, so we have kept the setup of the film there.

‘Nisanchi’ has a buckle. This film is a buckwheat but it also has a very sensitive story. This is not a gangster film but a family story. There is a story of a parent and their children. There is a story of love of a girl between two brothers and them. This film is the story of the rift in friendship and friendship. Like ‘Wall’ and ‘Trishul’ was not a gangster but a family story. Okay, it is Nishanchi. This is the story of crime and punishment. In childhood, I have flew in Nisanchi as much as I have been in my childhood.

You had the story of this film since 2016, then why did it take so much time to make it?

It took so much time because I wanted to make a film correctly. I did not want to make a film in Desperation. I wanted North Indian actor. At one time, I wanted to make Nisanchi with Sushant Singh Rajput. Whatever region Sushant has, he did not do this film. At first he disappeared the film yes. Later he did not give anything reactions. The film was left out of the formation. I kept looking for an actor for this film for a long time. Then one day I watched a video of Aishwarya online, in which he did monologue of different characters.

One of them was from the film ‘Shul’. After seeing him, I felt that it is perfect for Nisanchi. When I met I saw that he is a very calm boy. But when he mimics others, he does amazing. I gave that script and wanted to know his reaction. He was very excited to read the script. I told him that if you do this film, you will not have to do anything else. You have to become a little Kanpuriya. Aishwarya has given this film five years of her life.

Aishwarya sang and composed a song in the film Nisanchi.

Do such talent barely meet, which is ready to give everything for a project?

It is not that it is not found. Such people do not meet in the industry, but the outsiders also have very quickly. The problem is that if they do not work, then how will their living. For example, Vineet Kumar sold everything for a year to prepare for the boxer. I also have a limit to help financially. If I was a producer in ‘boxer’, I could help financially. But there was no producer for this film. In such a situation, I have a problem with me. There are so many good with actors. I made a second film, it has 110 actors. 80-90 was only theater actors in it, who just came because I was doing the film. There is hunger inside everyone. Every man is ready to give everything.

When you met Aishwarya Thackeray for the first time, you knew that they come from a political family?

No, I did not know for the first time. But later it was revealed. What is it that I meet his family when I want a commitment with someone. In the beginning, when I told him, look, you want to become an actor and I want a commitment of three-four years. I have to meet your family. Then he himself told about his family. I met her mother for the first time. I told him that if I trust, then hand over my son to me. She too was watching two-three options for her at that time but showed confidence in me.

The film stars Aishwarya Thackeray in double role.

Then when I met Vedika, I told the same thing to her parents. I told him that this film is very special for me and I will take time to prepare. By that time Vedika had done one or two films. I said that I would not like it to do anything else during this time.

Then did you know that Aishwarya Thackeray is also amazing music composer?

Yes, I knew. I knew that music is its passion. I have seen its growth in music. He wrote and composed the song of the film Pijan pigeon. When the film was on edit, we were looking for some kind of score. Aishwarya made a song overnight. I was surprised when I heard. My reaction was where it came from. He told that this is a song derived from a scene. I told him that this is a wonderful song. Then we needed the right voice for this song. We took the voice of singer Bhupesh Singh. Bhupesh is the same singer who sang for Yashpal Sharma in Wasseypur. Aishwarya herself has sung other songs in the film.

The music of your films is also very unique. You give complete freedom to the artist.

Yes, I leave everyone completely free. I share the script with everyone and ask them what to tell what to do. According to every music director situation, he brought his music himself. Dear Country songs have been sung tremendously by Birha Singer Vijay Yadav and Pyarelal Yadav. He also wrote this song. Its music has been given by Dhruv Ghanekar.

These people have created magic together. The song set the mood of the film. This song has everything in Hindi, English, French, Bhojpuri. Different music directors have brought different flavors in the film.

Vijay Lal Yadav is the cousin of Bhojpuri singer actor Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirhua. Vijay Lal is a famous singer of Birha.

You have dropped the wall between commercial cinema and Indie cinema through this film. Nisanchi also has a commercial factor and is also a touch of independent cinema. How did this do this?

I think a filmmaker should have honesty of the story. If the story is paramount, then my honesty should be towards the story. Which story should be told, it will decide the story. If I tell every story in the same way or find a story that fit in my way, then I have no growth again. In such a situation, I will remain boned. I have to increase my roots.

I have to become a banyan and do a lot of things for this. Different stories should be told in different ways. It has its own different fun. The reason for making this film is not that, due to which I made a Kennedy or made a film.
