Recently, the TV show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ has completed 17 years of journey. In this happiness, a party was organized by the makers, in which all the actors associated with the show attended. The celebrations were performed on the TMKOC interior set in Goregaon Film City.
The celebration also featured the show’s makers Asit Modi, actors Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutt, Amit Bhatt, Tanuj Mahasabde, Sachin Shroff. During this time, the family members of the actors were also present on the set. Parents and family members of Dilip Joshi and the rest of the artists cut the cake.

Actor Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal in the show, recalled the most memorable moment and said- ‘Since childhood I have been reading the world of Tarak Bhai’s world. I was aware of the character how interesting the character is. When Asit Bhai called me his office in 2008 for this role, I have not been able to forget that moment till date. That moment is still printed in my mind.
Nirmal Soni, who played the role of doctor elephant in Tarak Mehta, shared his experience and said- ‘I did not think I was acting. It seems to me that I have gone on the real mission. So I also feel acting that I am actually doing. I would like to share a recent experience. I have recently shifted home. During this time, when he went to see the house, the secretary there told me that our society is exactly like Gokuldham. Here we all live like that.
At the same time, actor Tanuj Mahashabde, who played Krishna Iyer in the show, remembered the actor who played Nattu Kaka and the elephant brother. Recalling both the artists, he said- ‘They are no longer but they are still with us’

So far, 4459 episodes of the show have gone on air.
Let me tell you that Ghanshyam Nayak first played Nattu Kaka’s role in the show but he died in the year 2021, after which Kiran Bhatt is playing this role. At the same time, the role of Hathi Bhai was previously performed by poet Kumar Azad. But after his death, Nirmal Soni is playing this role.
Let us know that this show started in the year 2008. It has become the longest running show of TV. The show is based on writer Tarak Mehta’s ‘Duniya Ne Bayha Chashma’. Tarak used to write it for Gujarati magazine Chitralekha. The show is also dubbed in Marathi and Telugu.
