A strange appearance is felt today at a soundstage in London. Perhaps this is not a coincidence, because I have arrived here to watch the shooting of the last film ‘The Conjuring: Last Rights’, the last film of Hollywood’s most popular horror franchise “The Conjuring”. The franchise started 12 years ago by James Van and Peter Saffron and now director Michael Chews is putting its final episode on screen.
The film is based on the real smaller case, from 1974 to 1989, a family from Pennsylvania faced the supernatural incidents. Also, this story will be the last story of Ed and Loren Warren, the same couple whose paranormal investigation gave birth to this universe.
Producer Peter Saffron says, “We wanted the film to scare the audience as well. This is the identity of conjuring is deep feelings with fear.”
Director adds Michael Chews, “This is the end of the journey of Warence. I wanted the completion of this story to be emotionally strong and the audience would have a big experience than before.”
James Van is also emotional. He says, “The Conjuring Universe gave me friends who are now like family. Veera Farming and Patrick Wilson (Loren and Ed Warren) are pillars of this journey. It is not possible without them.”
Veera Fariga, who played Loren’s character for four films, says, “This 12 -year journey has been very emotional. Working with Patrick always felt like a family. This last film is very special for me.”
Patrick Wilson considers it a gift of the audience. He says, “When the first film was made, James Van said that if we did it correct, we would be able to make another. Nobody could think that after 12 years we would reach 4 Conjuring, 3 Annabel and 2 Nun films. All this is only because of the fans.”
This time the audience will also get a new surprise. Warence’s daughter Judy Warren (Mia Tomminson) will be at the center of the story. There has always been a mystery about Judy’s character, and now for the first time it will be completely revealed.
Ben Hardy, who is playing the role of Judy’s boyfriend Tony, says, “In this film Ed and Loren face an old artifact related to their first case. This is the same case that is also related to Judi’s birth. That is, the real ‘final Reringing’ of the story of the story.
It is an ancient mirror, on which three infant faces are carved. “The mirror shows a symbolic relationship between parents and children,” says director Chews. It explains how children are reflection of their parents. “
During the shooting of the film, the entire set maintains a family -like atmosphere. Smal family artists, warreens and technical teams are all seen laughing together. This has been the real power of conjuring-despite being a scary story, it revolves around the family.
Producer Saffron says, “When we created the first conjuring, the aim was just to make a great horror film. But today it has become a complete universe. The reason for its success is only one of the people’s Ed and Loren Warren’s emotional connection with the family of Warren.”
