First film in 2013, Mile Best Debut Award
Vani started her modeling career with a model management. During this time he walked the ramp with many well-known personalities. With this, Vani continued to try to work in films, but was not getting success.
Meanwhile, Vani made his TV debut in 2009. She appeared as a lead actress in Sony Television Series Special 10. However, in 2013, Vani made her Bollywood debut with the film Shuddh Desi Romance. The film was made under the Yash Raj banner. Vani’s acting in the film was highly praised and for this role she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Vani had a contract of three films with Yash Raj Films.
Vani was in discussion about surgery
After the film Shuddh Desi Romance, Vani was very much discussed about surgery. There were reports that he underwent surgery for his lips and resorted to lip filling to look more beautiful. However, Vani later denied any such surgery.
Only one film in Bollywood and debut in South
After doing a Bollywood film, Vani turned to South Cinema. In 2014, she appeared in the Tamil romantic film Aha Kalyanam. The film was a remake of Bollywood band Baja Baaraat. He also learned Tamil language for this film. But despite so much hard work, the film could not succeed much and flopped at the box office. At the same time, the acting of Vani was also criticized.
Darshan came in Befikre with Ranveer, headlines with 23 kissing scenes
In 2016, Vani Kapoor once again appeared in the film Befikre, made under the banner of Yash Raj Films. He was accompanied by Ranveer Singh in this film. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the film was very much discussed due to its bold content.
In Befikre, Vani gave a total of 23 kissing scenes on the silver screen with Ranveer Singh, which created a sensation and made him into the headlines overnight. Despite the average performance in the theater, the film was well received by the audience on the OTT platform.
After this film, Vani Kapoor took a break of nearly three years and then made a comeback with the film in 2019, with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Apart from this, Vani was also seen in Yash Raj banner’s remake music video ‘Main Yaar Manana Ni’ in the year 2017.
Lest rejections due to color, also suffering from body shaming
When Vani Kapoor was new in the industry, she faced apartheid and body shaming. In an interview, Vani said that she was removed from a film just because her color was not fair and she came to know not directly, but through someone else.
Vani said- ‘I was not said directly but this thing reached me through anyone. A filmmaker said that I am not so fair that I can be offered a role. He meant that I am not a fair like milk, then I told myself that if they have this demand, then I do not have to be a part of such a project. They can find a fair woman like their milk. I know that I will find a better filmmaker for myself. This is many years old and the film maker was not from Mumbai. Vani had said these things during a conversation with News18 Shosha.
There were reports of affair with director Aditya Chopra
According to the Tabloid newspaper during the film Befikre, there is an affair between Vani Kapoor and director Aditya Chopra. In a conversation with Dainik Jagran, Vani had reacted on these reports and said, well, such news is coming? Till now it was heard that the film’s hero and heroine have an affair, but this time my name was not directly linked to Ranveer, not with Aditya. Now what should I say on such rumors. I am just beginning. I neither pay attention to such news nor will I give forward.
Controversy over working with Pakistani actor Fawad
Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was about to make a Bollywood comeback with the film Abir Gulal. Vani Kapoor was seen with her in this film. His film was scheduled to release on 9 May 2025, but Pakistani actors were completely banned after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, which led to the film fiercely and the makers had to stop the release.
Vani Kapoor faced a lot of criticism when working with Fawad Khan. People told him a lot of talk on social media. At the same time, when Vani reached the launch event of her web series Mandla Murdors, she spoke on the matter.

Few films have seen, yet there are millions of mistresses
Vani Kapoor started her film career in 2013. He has acted in only 9 films in a career of about 14 years. According to a report by Jansatta, Vani Kapoor’s total assets are around 18 to 20 crores.
She charges around Rs 1 crore for a film. Apart from films, she also earns well through modeling, photoshoots and advertisements. Vani Kapoor, a resident of Delhi, bought a luxurious house there. Along with this, he also has a house in Mumbai. Vani is fond of luxury cars and also has expensive cars like Audi.
Following the news of ‘Abir Gulal’ worldwide release, AICWA has demanded the cancellation of the passport of Vani.
