Comedian Veer Das has also appeared in many Bollywood films. In a recent interview, he talked about the shooting experience of his first film and discrimination on him on the set.

Let me tell you that Veer started his Bollywood career with Vipul Shah’s film ‘Namaste London’. In this, he played a small role of Katrina Kaif’s role Jasmine’s third potential groom.

Talking about the film’s experience, Veer, in a podcast called Moments of Silence, said, “I did not know that there is dubbing in films. I was the theater actor. Perhaps Katrina had any problem with speaking, she was not talking much.”

The film was released on 23 March 2007.

Veer said, “The scene was that we were on the roof. I was a possible groom number three. There was Rishi Kapoor, Nina Wadia and Katrina Kaif. On the other hand we were junior artists, I and a woman who was playing my mother.”

Veer further said, “Rishi Kapoor, Katrina and Nina Wadia had an umbrella on the head, but my mother and me were meditating in the sun. We were both wet in that beautiful scene.”

In the film, Rishi Kapoor played Katrina’s father and Nina Wadia’s husband.

Talking about the shooting experience of the film, Veer said, “I had no idea of the set. I was learning there. Suddenly Vipul Shah said- ‘Katrina will do something in the dubbing’. In the scene, Rishi Kapoor would say something, I would say something and Katrina Kaif said something …” Veer said that Katrina had spoken very slowly.

Veer further said, “The director said, cut, fantastic and sitting sitting, was thinking-I am drunk? He did not say anything. Then the camera was moved. The same dialogue was again on the close. Katrina was speaking slowly. I was thinking, I was thinking, we were doing this? We were doing it again and my mother and my mother was changing the color in the sun.

Rishi Kapoor praised Veer Das Veer said, “Rishi Kapoor was a very cool person. He asked me, ‘Son, what is your name?’ And I said, ‘Veer Das’.

Apart from Bollywood, Veer Das also made his debut in American television in 2019 with the ‘Whiskey Cavalier Series’.

Veer also told that Rishi Kapoor had described him as a very good actor and asked him to promise that he would never leave acting. At the same time, as soon as Rishi Kapoor left from there, a member of the unit put an umbrella on Veer’s head within three seconds.
