Food poisoning on the set of Ranveer Singh starrer film Dhurandhar deteriorated 120 crew members, after which everyone had to admit in the hospital. The shooting of the film was going on in Leh, where food was cooked for 600 people on August 17. Just after eating food, 120 people deteriorated and they were admitted. The hospital informed about the incident to Leh Police, District Administration and Food Safety Department, after which the food sample has been sent for investigation.

AICWA (All India Cine Workers Association) has now demanded strict investigation in this case. The association shared a post and wrote, ‘The shocking incident in the shooting of Dhurandhar in the Association Leh is deeply worried, where 150 workers got food poisoning. Despite the presence of lead actor Ranveer Singh and having a high budget, it is very sad that basic needs like clean and safe food were ignored on the set.

The association says that the producers and financers of the film compromise on the quality of food to save money and endanger their lives by serving the workers untouched.

The note further states, ‘Almost every shoot set has two different dining tables, one for laborers and the other for producer, production team and actors. Workers are served inferior and unhealthy food, while high quality food producers and actors are kept. This open discrimination shows how low importance is given to the health and respect of the workers in the film industry.

It is further written, ‘Aicwa strictly demands that the producer and Dhurandhar Production House should take full responsibility for the incident and ensure that all the affected workers get immediate and right medical treatment in the best hospitals.’

Let us tell you that Aditya is directing the film Dhurandhar. The producer of the film is Jyoti Deshpande and Aditya Dhar has co-produced it. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna in important roles. The film is a schedule for release on 5 December.
