Question: What did you attract the most in the script of ‘Mandla Murdors’?

answer: The script of this series was very interesting and attractive. First, it was a psychological horror thriller and it was a big thing for me to get a chance to work with a big production company like Yash Raj Films.

It was a dream that was fulfilled. My character was quite dark and challenging, which also had a lot of action. I like to play such a character because they give me an opportunity to go beyond their boundaries.

Question: What special did you do for the preparation of this character?

answer: I did not do much special to get into this role. I am an actor who believes in working on-the-spot. I practiced the art of ‘switch on-off’ for this character using my experience. However, during the shooting, a lot of physical work had to be done, especially in the night scene and in low light.

Siddhant Kapoor played the role of a man named Ajay Yadav in ‘Mandla Murdors’. This web series is released on 25 July 2025.

Question: Was something challenging for you physically?

answer: Physically, a lot was challenging, especially action scenes. A scene had a scene of cutting hands, which took a lot of action and hard work to do. It is very important for such characters to be physically fit. I like to workout and be active, which helps me to play such difficult characters easily.

Question: What was your most memorable experience during the shooting of this series?

answer: The most memorable experience was our shooting location. We were shooting at Triveni Ghat and that place was very beautiful, especially during shooting at the ghat. There was moonlight around the night and the place looked so holy that I felt connected to nature and spirituality. That moment was very special for me.

Question: What do you think about working on OTT platforms?

answer: I think OTT is a very good platform. Now people can easily watch movies and series on their phone, laptop or iPad sitting at home. it is very convenient. OTT has opened doors for many new artists, directors and technicians.

This is a new opportunity, which is getting a chance to come to the fore. I do not think there is a huge difference between OTT and cinema. Every project is a project in itself, no matter where it is released.

Question: What kind of characters would you like to play in future?

answer: I would like to play a character that is good according to the script and story. I like all kinds of characters who are challenging and in which you get to learn something new. You must have seen my filmography, I have played both positive and negative characters and have also done some comedy films. I like to play different types of characters.

Question: Would you like to work with reverence again in future?

answer: If we get a good script, I would definitely like to work with reverence. We are both siblings as well as good friends and understand each other very well. We have a natural bond between us, which can also be reflected on the screen.

Shraddha is an excellent actress, her energy and dedication always gives some new learning. If we get a chance to work together, then I am confident that the audience will also like our on-screen synergy.

Question: Would you like to try your hand even in future directions?

answer: Yes, whenever I get time, I would like to do both writing and direction. I love the world of art and creativity. I do not want to be limited to just one thing. I like to do different things and learn something new every day. I do all this because I want to be the best in everything. I will definitely direct in future.

Question: Do you consult your father Shakti Kapoor for a character?

answer: Earlier I used to take advice from them, but do not take that much now. Sometimes some advice occurs, but now very little.

Question: If you get a chance, would you like to play any character of your father again?

answer: I have never thought about this. He has played many magnificent characters, such as ‘Atish’, but at the moment, I have not thought of any character I would like to play again. I just want the quality of my work to give them pride.
