Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Bengal files released in theaters on 5 September. The film has not been officially banned anywhere, but many theaters in West Bengal have refused to show it. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has now expressed concern over this. He says that the ban on the film informally is wrong.
FWICE says, it is surprising that a film, which has been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), is facing such informal ban, whether such tasks are done directly or hiding and hiding the freedom of speaking in our constitution and harming the freedom to say their words. This also affects the hard work and freedom of those film makers, who show the stories necessary for the society with their work. If a film is stopped without any government order or legal reason, it is not just wrong, but can become a dangerous example about films later.

FWICE said that the owners of West Bengal theaters are following this ban without any written order. By doing this, they are stopping those who tell new and different stories and at the same time snatching the right to watch the film of their choice from people. Along with this, the government appealed to FWICE to immediately take into account this ban and try his best to show this film in the whole of West Bengal without any restriction or trouble.
This film is the result of great hard work, investment and art of filmmakers and the audience gets full right to watch it without any restriction. We stand with the manufacturers of Bengal files and also appeal to all producer organizations across the country to raise their voice against this illegal ban.

Let me tell you, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar have played important roles in Bengal files. The film, introduced by Tej Narayan Aggarwal and IM Buddha Productions, is part of Vivek’s files Triology, including The Kashmir files and The Tashkent Files.
