TV actor Ashish Kapoor is accused of raping a woman. In the same case, on Saturday, Tis Hazari district court sent him to 14 days judicial custody.
Investigating officials told the court that the victim’s mobile phone has not yet been recovered, which claims that it was snatched during the attack.

According to the police, Ashish Kapoor’s acquaintance with the woman was known through Instagram. Both became friends and then the party was planned, including the victim. On August 11, the victim lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police, alleging that Ashish Kapoor, her friends and two unidentified men raped her together. At the same time, a woman (friend’s wife) also assaulted her.
However, the woman later changed her statement and said that only Ashish Kapoor raped her. The woman also alleged that the incident was videographed, but the police have not found any such video yet. Officials said that earlier the case was registered in gang rape, but now it will be converted only on rape charges.
On August 21, Ashish’s friend and his wife applied for anticipatory bail, which was approved by the court. The victim was also present during the hearing, but she did not name the friend in her arguments.
Police say CCTV footage and statement of eyewitnesses show that Ashish Kapoor and the woman went to the washroom together during the party. When they did not leave for a long time, Kapoor’s friends and other guests started knocking on the door. While Ashish Kapoor’s friend’s wife made a PCR call.
Actor’s potency test was also done
This case of rape on Ashish has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station in Delhi. Ashish was arrested from Pune on 4 September after being absconding for three weeks. On Friday, Delhi Police conducted a medical test of the actor. The actor’s medical potency test was held at Delhi AIIMS. The Delhi Police is watching this test as an important evidence. Delhi Police said that this report will be used as an important evidence against them in the alleged rape case.
