Urvashi Rautela and Mimi Chakraborty have acted in many films.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent summons to actress Urvashi Rautela and actress and former Trinamool MP Mimi Chakraborty in an inquiry related to online betting platform 1xbet. This platform is under investigation on suspicion of money laundering.
According to the ED, both artists are associated with some promotional endorsements of 1xbet. Urvashi Rautela has been asked to appear on September 16 at the ED headquarters in Delhi. At the same time, actress Mimi Chakraborty will appear on 15 September.
According to the PTI source, the statements of both will be recorded under the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act). Officials say the two will be clarified during the connection investigation with 1xbet.
Let us tell you that Urvashi Rautela has worked in films like ‘Sanam Re’ (2016), ‘Great Grand Masti’ (2016), ‘Hate Story 4’ (2018), ‘Parastipanti’ (2019) and ‘Daksa Maharaj’ (2025).

Earlier, many celebrities have been questioned in this case. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was summoned this month. At the same time, Suresh Raina appeared in front of ED in August. Actor Rana Daggubati’s sum of 23 July was postponed due to the film and later appeared in front of ED in Hyderabad.
In May, Telangana Police booked several actors on suspicion of promoting the betting platform. It included Daggubati and Prakash Raj.
Regarding the matter, Rana Daggubati had said that his agreement with his gaming app was over in 2017. Promotions were limited to legally obtained areas.
At the same time, Prakash Raj admitted that he had promoted Jungle Rumi in 2016. He had said, “It was legally correct but did not match my morality.”

Both Rana and Prakash advertised ‘Junglee Rumi’ together.
Other celebrities named in this case include Manchu Lakshmi, Nidhi Aggarwal, Ananya Nagalla and TV anchor Srimukhi.
Explain that this action was taken on the basis of FIR registered by Hyderabad Police.
According to the report of Hindustan Times, an FIR was lodged at the Miyapur police station in Hyderabad on the complaint of 32 -year -old businessman PM Faninder Sharma in March. The complaint stated that celebrities and influencers are promoting illegal betting apps, causing violation of the Public Gambling Act 1867.
Faninder said that on March 16, while talking to the youth of his community, he came to know that many people were persuaded to invest money in such platforms, which were promoted by social media personnel a lot.
It was said in the complaint that these celebrities were given a huge amount so that they should instigate people to invest in such betting apps. Faninder also said that he himself was going to invest in such an app, but after the advice of the family, he changed his intention as it had a big financial risk.
Based on this complaint, the police registered a case on 19 March. It includes the Indian Penal Code (BNS), Telangana Gaming Act (2017), which banned all kinds of online betting and imposed sections of the IT Act.
