Aamir Khan has decided to release his new film on YouTube movies-on-demand soon after its release in theater.
‘Stars on the ground’ will be seen only on YouTube and will not be released on any other digital platform.
Aamir Khan announced today that the stars will be released on the ground from 1 August 2025 on YouTube all over the world.
In India, the film will be available for 100 rupees, while the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Spain will be available with local pricing in 38 countries.

‘Stars Bhoomi Par’ was released in theater on 20 June.
‘Stars on the ground’ have so far earned more than 250 crore rupees worldwide. Now the audience can rent it on YouTube.
The special thing is that not only India, to reach new audiences around the world, ‘Stars Zameen Par’ will also be given all the titles and dubbing in major languages.
In the coming time, more films of Aamir Khan Productions will be shown on this platform.
Significantly, YouTube has a lot of reach in India and the world.
According to a report by Comskor, 4 out of 5 people above 18 years of age in India were using YouTube in 2024 and every day, videos related to entertainment were seen more than 7.5 billion times on YouTube.

Aamir’s role in the film is that of basketball coach.
Talking at the launch, Aamir Khan said,

For the last 15 years, I was trying to reach those who cannot reach the theater, or who could not go theater for some reason. Now finally the time has come when everything is sitting right together. Our government started UPI and now India is the number 1 in the world in electronic payments. Internet access has also increased very fast in India and is increasing every day. Also, YouTube occurs in almost every device. Now we can deliver films to large parts of India and many people of the world.
Aamir Khan further said,

My dream is that cinema reaches everyone, that too at the right and cheap prices. I want people to see cinema whenever they want, wherever they want. If this method is successful, creative people will be able to say different stories, without worrying about border or other interruptions. It will also be a great opportunity for new artists and people coming to the film industry. If this idea works, it will prove beneficial for everyone.
Regarding this partnership, Gunjan Soni, Country Managing Director of YouTube India said,

Today’s launch is not just a film release YouTube is laying a red carpet of global stage for Indian cinema.
On YouTube, you can see many languages and different types of films on purchasing or rent, including India’s hit films and international hits.
This facility is constantly increasing, especially in India, where the use of internet is growing rapidly, people are watching more content on smart TVs and also watch a lot of videos from mobile.
India has been the fastest growing screen connected TV (CTV) in India in the last 5 years.

Directed by RS Prasanna, Genelia D’Souza is in the lead role with Aamir Khan in the film Stars Zameen.
According to a survey, when people in India think of watching a new film or show, they first watch videos on YouTube.
94% of people believe that YouTube is the best music and entertainment.
Talk about Aamir’s upcoming films, he is now producing Lahore 1947 (which will be Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta) and one day (which will appear Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi). Both these films are being made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. He will also do a cameo in Rajinikanth’s film ‘Coolie’.
