Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, who has appeared in the best Bollywood films like Sundar and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, was going to make a Bollywood comeback with the film Abir Gulal. Due to controversies and ban, the film’s lead actress Vani Kapoor has removed all the content related to the film from her official social media account. Apart from this, he has also avoided announcing the new release date.
Abir Gulal adopted Dilij Dosanjh’s strategy
Like the film Abir Gulal, Diljit Dosanjh’s film Sardar G3 was also in controversy, as Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was playing the lead role in it. After being banned in India, the makers of Diljit Dosanjh’s film also released Overseas instead of releasing the film in India.
The Film Federation then demanded to ban Diljit Dosanjh in India and cancel his passport. Despite several protests, the film was released on 27 June and proved to be a blockbuster. Made in a budget of just Rs 15 crore, the film did business of more than 150 crores.
It has become the highest grossing Punjabi film abroad. The film has also broken the record of Diljit’s film Jat and Juliet.
