The case was registered in the year 2017 at Thana Division No. 5, Jalandhar. The complainant, who is said to be a local Shiv Sena leader and the producer of the film, alleged that the film depicts Lord Shankar improperly, hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.

Based on the complaint, a case was filed against the film’s director Nitin Kakkar, producer Amul Vikas Mohle, actress Shruti Haasan and actor Raj Kumar Rao.

Non -bailable warrant was issued when he did not appear on hearing
