He has said that if the singer is to be allowed to sing, then at least it will be taken on written confidence that he will remove the YouTube songs that insult their alcohol, intoxication and women. If he does not do so, he will not be given a chance to sing. He has said in the letter that it is necessary in view of the war that has been waged against the drugs on your behalf.
The professor has mainly raised two points in his letter
- Pro. Rao has written that many songs of Honey Singh promote alcohol, intoxication and gun culture. Not only this, songs that humiliate women are also present on YouTube.
- The Punjab Women’s Commission had sent a notice to Honey Singh regarding the use of pornographic terminology. He was also ordered to appear before the Commission. But Honey Singh has not appeared before the Commission till now. At the same time, the Commission had also asked the police to report in this matter.

The Punjabi singer Jasbir Singh Jassi has come openly against Yo-Yo Honey Singh’s film Fair Award. He says that it is a good thing to be a show and they welcome, but it is wrong to give a stage to artists like Honey Singh. He alleged that Honey Singh’s songs push children towards alcohol and intoxication and insult women. Even Honey Singh said in an interview that he would insert intoxication in the DNA of breeds of people.
He raised the question that when the Punjab government is running a campaign against drugs, then why such an artist is being allowed to perform. Jassi said that habal is not weakness and they are willing to accept any kind of comparison or challenge.
In the end, he appealed to the people of Punjab to oppose such artists, because they are polluting the minds of children. He clearly said that friendship is its place, but when it comes to Punjab, they will always stand with Punjab.
