Actress Shruti Haasan has shared interesting things related to father Kamal Haasan in a recent interview. He told that his father Kamal Haasan was a Bengali actress and filmmaker Aparna Sen. The actor learned Bengali to impress him. Also, in the film ‘Hey Ram’, he named Rani Mukherjee’s character after Aparna.
Actually, Shruti arrived with star Satyaraj for a promotional interview of the film ‘Coolie’. During the interview, Satyaraj praises Shruti and says that she knows many languages like her father. He also told that Kamal Haasan had done a Bengali film and for this he also learned Bengali language.

Aparna Sen has won 9 National Awards. He first received the National Award for Best Direction for the film ’36 Chowrangi Lane ‘in 1981.
Shruti starts laughing at Satyaraj’s matter. Then she says that her father learned Bengali not for the film but for Aparna Sen. The actress said- ‘Do you know why she learned Bengali? Because at that time he loved Aparna Sen and learned Bengali to impress him. He did not learn for films.
Talking about Shruti’s career, she started her career in the year 1999. She is a considered actress of South Indian cinema. Shruti has worked in films like ‘D-Day’, ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’, ‘Gabbar Is Back’, ‘Welcome Back’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’. She was also seen in the short film ‘Devi’. Recently she appeared in Rajinikanth’s film ‘Coolie’.
