Mahima made her debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s opposite film Pardes. The advertisement claimed that Mahima had contract with Ghai. So without permission she cannot work with any other producer or director. Although Mahima had told in the interview, I had never done any such contract with Subhash Ghai, but still he had troubled me a lot.

Mahima Chaudhary had a terrible road accident during the shooting of the 1999 film Dil Kya Kare. This accident proved to be a turn of his life, which shocked him physically and mentally. The last day of shooting was left. I had left the hotel for a shooting location, when a truck laden with a milk tanker coming from the wrong direction hit my car. The collision was so strong that the glass pieces went on their face at the speed of bullets.
