Surprisingly, it will be said that Pakistan remains a prominent regional player in the eyes of superpowers like America, Russia and China despite its domestic political conflicts and slim economy. This was the reason that it managed to win a temporary seat in the United Nations Security Council with great support from 182 seats out of 193. Its term will begin for two years from January.

A few weeks after the Pahalgam attack, the United Nations appointed Pakistan as the vice -chairman of the UN 1373 Antikar Committee and the Chairman of the 1988 Taliban Ban Committee. This explains how the world who shelters the most of the terrorists declared by the United Nations itself sees the world. It also explains the failure of Indian diplomacy.

But everything is not going well in Pakistan. At the time of Imran Khan’s arrest in May 2023, there was a huge political upheaval in Pakistan. Large -scale demonstrations took place, including families of several serving soldiers.

Several military bases, Rawalpindi -based GAQs and Core Commander’s house were attacked. A similar disturbance was seen in the election of Pakistan National Assembly in 2024. It was the largest part of the total seats of the assembly. This is when there was rigging in favor of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) in the election. The coalition government of PML (N) and Bilawal Bhutto is now losing universal yata. It is no wonder that Asim Munir, who made himself a field martial by redeeming the recent Indo-Pak struggle, will soon marginally marginalized.

After a confrontation with India, Pakistan may say anything about its victory and defeat, but the fact is that India not only protected from Pakistani missiles, drone attacks, but also demolished Pakistan’s air defense system.

By the end of the fight, India had come to a position that it could attack in Pakistan wherever he wanted. India also proved it by attacking Nurkhan and several other aerial status near the Pakistani military headquarters in Rawalpindi.

But in spite of all this, Pakistan was better in presenting its native to the world about this fight. Due to India’s poor information management, Pakistan got a chance to claim victory. By removing the Indian diplomatic pressure, he was successful in telling that he did not have a hand in the Pahalgam attack. More than 60 countries condemned the Pahalgam attack but not one blamed Pakistan.

In all this, America also assisted Pakistan to an extent. Michael Kurilla, the head of the US Central Command, recently described Pakistan as an important partner against terrorism. The US also wants to maintain good relations with Pakistan with security-causes.

Munir and Pakistani Air Force chief’s visit to America has also indicated the deep relations between the two countries. The US also considers relations with Pakistan to be important from regional stability and peace with India.

But America is not the only country that has increased relations with Pakistan. In 2024, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia also visited Pakistan in connection with the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). In April 2025, Russia also hosted a meeting of the executive group of Russia and Pakistan against terrorism.

After this, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andre Rudenco went to Islamabad to talk about advancing the partnership of the two countries. Pakistan and Russia have agreed to develop rail and road networks to connect South Asia to Central Asia and Russia. These steps are also associated with another agreement connecting Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan.

This month, Pakistan will try to use this power in his own interest if it takes the chair of the chairman of the Security Council on the basis of monthly rotation. Will have to see if he will use it to air his stance on Kashmir? However, nothing will happen to it.
