‘The Bengal Files’ is already in controversy before its release. The film is being strongly opposed in West Bengal. A few days ago, actors Shashwat Chatterjee and Saurabh Das associated with the film made serious allegations about the film. Now ‘The Bengal Files’ producer and actress Pallavi Joshi has accused Co-star Shashwat Chatterjee of lying and committing evil of the film.
In his recent interview, Pallavi also said that before making the film, Shashwat was given complete information about the story and his character. Pallavi challenged the actor to become men and stand for truth instead of coming under government pressure.
In the podcast of Siddharth Kannan, when Pallavi was asked about eternal comments, he said, ‘I will tell you how we work. We do not make star-based films. We cast the actors. Every actor is given a bound script. Bound script means that we do not mail them but give physical copy. This is because the actor has to work on his character. There are also people in the film industry who do not share the entire script, because they are very protective about their story. But we give full script to our actors, because we expect them to understand the whole story.

He further said that Vivek does not give much instruction to the actors, but gives them the responsibility of creating their characters themselves. Therefore, it is a sheer lie to say so. She says- ‘I am ready to believe that what they said, it was misunderstood. I am also ready to believe that some actors feel uncomfortable in promoting films due to external pressure. Ideally, they must do so. But I understand. However, doing evil of your own film before release is not accepted. ‘
However, in the interview, Pallavi said on the title the Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter to The Bengal files, that the actors were told that it would not only be about Direct Action Day, but also about the politics of contemporary Bengal.
