According to Navbharat Times, Tamil Nationalist group Tamiller Kachi (NTK) has strongly objected to parts of the film. Also demanded to ban the film. He claims that the Sri Lankan Tamils are shown negative in the Kingdom.

Apart from this, Villan is named ‘Murugan’ in the film, which is one of the most revered gods of Tamil Nadu to Lord Murugan. Due to this, resentment and resentment are being seen among the people.
NTK says that the film maligns the identity of Tamils and cultural history. Protests took place outside many theaters across the state. The party members demanded that the ‘Kingdom’ be banned from showing in Tamil Nadu.
Seeing the uproar, the police also reached the spot. During this time, the protesters were seen clashing with the police. Additional police force was deployed to bring the situation under control. Although no injuries are reported, security has been increased in that area to prevent any kind of disturbance further.
The NTK has demanded action from the government and pressured the Tamil Nadu administration to ban the film. At the same time, people are not reaching the theater to watch this film due to these controversies.
