Actor Rajneesh Duggal has been seen in the recently released film ‘Udaipur Files’. The film, based on the Kanhaiyalal Sahu murder case of Rajasthan, has already been in a lot of controversy before its release. Along with this film Rajneesh, actors like actors Vijay Raj, Preity Jhangiani are also seen. The film stars Rajneesh in the role of IB officer. This will be the first time when Rajneesh has worked on a disputed issue. The actor has a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar about this film and his career.
Your image so far has been very clean. ‘Udaipur Files’ is a film made on a controversial issue. Not scared about your image?
Yes, this is a very sensitive issue. I shared its trailer on my Instagram and I got so much Hate comment that I had to remove the trailer post. I did not want hatred. I could not understand that this trailer was wrongly hit by the people or the opinion of the people on this issue remains wrong. I think people should first see the truth. The CCTV footage of that incident is in media channels, police and court. People should watch this film full of truth, then decide whether there is anything wrong in it.
The film was released nationwide on August 8.
You do not think that without watching the film, the way people were showing their anger on social media, it is very superficial?
My role in this film is based on the true incident but fiction. My character is of the IB Chief, who was then an IB officer. My character is a little inspired by them. What is going on in the country around Kanhaiya Lal, it will also have to be shown a little. The film is in about three layers. One is part of the lawyer, the other is IB Chief and then Kanhaiyalal. I did as much research I could do about this film. I also interacted with the people there. Everyone told me that what has happened is true. After listening to everything, I agreed to the film. I knew that the reaction of the people would come about this film, but it would not be known so much.
What kind of roll do you want to do in career?
I like dark humor very much. I can also see scope for myself in comedy genre. I really want to do something about defense service. Then I also want to play sports related to sports. I like the drama so I would like to explore the Socio-Political Zone. When I am speaking sports and defense, it means biopic. I would like to do someone’s biopic in this zone.
Any special person, whom you want to do biopic?
I would like to do a biopic of Khushwant Singh. I also find the story of KPS Gill interesting.
Your start in the industry has been quite spectacular but what was the most challenging point?
I think the challenging points keep coming professionally. Personally two points have been very challenging for me. The first when I lost my father. Second, when wife Pallavi lost her mother because of cancer. At that time our daughter Tia was just one and a half years old. Me and Pallavi were passing through many at that time. I could not see Pallavi in pain. After getting out of this thing, both of us also went to Shyamak Davar for past life therapy. Very few people know that in addition to choreography, Shyamak also does solo study. We reached them through someone. There it helped us to get out of that trauma.

What would you say if you want to disrespect your journey?
We read a lot of motivational coats but one always stays with me. She is the coat Keep Moving Forward of the film ‘Rocky’. It is very small but its meaning is very large. This means that nothing is stopped. Where will you go back? From what has happened in the past, you can only learn and move forward. You are writing your book yourself. I was thinking of producing a film for years.
Recently I have produced a short film Frazile. The film is based on Fragel Egg Syndrome. It is a heroiditory condition, which has no solution. Only three percent of Indians are aware of this. We have made it for awareness so that people across the country know about it. As autism occurs, it also comes in the same spectrum. We always wanted whatever the first film produced, it should be social. The society should be giving something. While we know that there is no commercial benefit. But if it saves the lives of some people or people become aware, then it is enough for me.
What is your ambition and reigeret of this time?
The ambition is so much at this time that the character I play now should be effective. Rigrate is about working with a few selected people. Ideally this should not happen but why did I do it? I will not speak very bad but my mentality was not to work like that. Still I came to work.
Your fans feel that you do not get a role according to the potential in you. Do you want to say something on this?
At first I want to thank all those fans that they think of me. This thinking of them gives me strength and increases the fire of doing better inside me. I also see myself like this. Perhaps that’s why I am not satisfied with my work because I know I can do much more. I have to do that much more now. Right now some things are coming, I hope that my graph will go up.
