Another new show is starting in the world of reality shows from 6 September. Amazon MX Player’s show ‘Rise and Fall’ is bringing shark tank fame Ashnir Grover. The show will have 15 contestants, which will be divided into two groups. Half of the contestant will stay in the penthouse and half in the basement. Penthouse contestants in the show will try to maintain their own position and the basement contestants will try to reach the penthouse.
In a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, the show’s host Ashnir claims that the show will not be scripted at all. Also, it will be quite different from the rest of the reality show.
The Ashneer show will show two different worlds. In such a situation, what will the audience see different in your show?
I am very excited about this show. There is an attempt to bring a new concept in the market. Most reality shows make their contestants stand on a platform from day one. Like, the same house, bedroom, washroom and kitchen. Whereas this does not happen in real life. In real life, there is nothing similar in everyone’s life. Some people have different worlds in the same city and some people are completely different from them.
In such a situation, there is an attempt to show that reality in reality shows. I think this will give a different element to the show. Where you are not just a contestant in the rest of the contestants. You are a contestant, which will be a basement or in the penthouse. It is expected that this will give excitement in the show, which people will like.
Through this show, would you like to see the cervical trend inside the contestant?
Survival in the show will be for him, the allredi has reached the penthouse. They have to maintain their position. It will be our endeavor that the contestants who will remain the basement will take out the expectation inside them. How will they come up and pull the above people down.
Your one liner is quite popular among people. What will you separate in this show, which is famous among the audience?
I was earlier on the shark tank show. I think people like natural style. What you say, if they are coming out in a natural way, then people like it. I was not even thinking when I used to speak in the shark tank. I did not even know that he would become so famous. This second show of mine, but I will maintain my ease in it too. I am not a traditional host. I am not of this industry nor I am an actor, so I do not know the maneuvers that the rest of the people do. I have observation skills and I speak what comes in my mind. If I bring the same freshness in this show, people will like it.

There is an opinion among the common people about the reality show that they are scripted. In such a situation, how will you bring newness in the show?
People’s opinion is the biggest thing. People’s opinion about reality shows has been formed because some shows have been seen for a long time. After a time, they started feeling that the bean thing was happening. His hopes about those shows were set that this would happen. Our show’s concept is fresh. The audience has no opinion about the contestants in it. I am very clear that if you have acting from me or I was given a script, then I will make something wrong. And it will be visible on the screen. When I do not speak my words, my tongue starts to falter because it is not natural. In such a situation, you can expect me that my show will not be scripted at all.
The public is also very smart. If you do something scripted anywhere, they catch. Nowadays there is so much exposure for social media, the practice of reels, they all know who is making reel from their phone and who in camera setup.
The show has forced battles many times. How will you control such battles in the show as a host?
If someone fights unnecessarily, he will have to say that this is not the show that he is thinking. This is a separate show. I would tell all the contestants to play their games. Our game is different. We will reach your truth.
The show has many stars like Dhanashree, Kiku, Arjun Bijlani. Who are you expecting more blasts from.
We have very good contestants and more than one. I have no hope from anyone. I do not want to bias myself. Maybe a contestant has been seen more on TV and I feel that he will do wonders but when the show comes, another man can do it. Everyone is equal for me. There may be a big celebration in public opinion. But I have a concen as to who is playing in the show. Who has come back, it is his life.
Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh is becoming a part of a reality show for the first time.
When the makers gave you a surgery for the show, what was your reaction? What things did you refuse to do it?
I clearly said that I do not act. Do not give me a rote line. The more you keep natural, the more fun it will be. Do the originals. There is no need to create a drama without meaning. The public understands everything, so the freshness in the concept of this show keeps it maintained.
At this time, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan’s shows are also going on. Do you think you will be compared to them?
How will be compared to Amitabh Bachchan or Salman Khan. Both of them have been in the industry for so many years, as I am not old. Both have access to the audience. Both have their own superstar stardom so their shows go well. We are bringing something different and everything is a market. The movie star has a separate market and a different man of the common man. There are also people watching real content. We are bringing real content and hope that people will like it. My comparison is not right with them.
Any rhise or fall in life that has been learned everything?
I have seen a lot of rise and falls in life. These people who speak not that a person learns a lot from the fall. I really feel that a person does not learn anything. The bad time simply takes you in the dark. I think a person learns more than success.
