Actress-politics Smriti Irani is in the discussion about the second season of her iconic TV show ‘Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ on the small screen. Smriti Irani, who came back from the TV industry to politics and politics, spoke openly on her career in Soha Ali Khan’s show ‘All About Har’. Talking about politics career, Smriti Irani said that there has been a loss due to coming into politics. The actress, referring to the early days of his career, said that she had taken a loan from her father. If she did not pay the loan within a year, she would have to marry the father’s chosen boy.
Talking about her political career, Smriti Irani said- coming into politics has caused losses. People believe that any actor comes into politics at the end of his career, but I had come into politics in the beginning, I had to work more hard here.
Smriti Irani also revealed that she had taken a loan from her father for a year, in return she had promised me that if I did not repay this loan, I would have to marry her chosen boy. Actually, after being selected for Miss India, Smriti needed one lakh rupees to participate in the competition. For this, the actress took money as a loan from her father, but she gave a condition with money. The father said that you will have to return the money with the interest and if you are not able to return, then I will marry you with the boy of my choice. Smriti Irani agreed to his father.
In Nilesh Mishra’s show ‘The Slow’, Smriti Irani had said that she had to work as a cleaner to return her father’s money. He returned Rs 60,000 to his father from the gifts from the beauty pageant, but for the rest of the money he had to work for 3-4 months in McDonald’s. Here she used to work for six days a week and she used to go for audition on holiday. It was during the audition that he got ‘Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. In this way, Smriti Irani had made a special place in everyone’s heart by becoming Tulsi in Ekta Kapoor’s show. This serial lasted for about 8 years.
After achieving success heights in acting career, Smriti Irani also started a new innings on TV as a producer in 2006. He co-produced the ‘little land little sky’ with the production house of Ekta Kapoor. Apart from this, in 2007, the ‘Virudh’ TV serial was produced, he also played the role of Vasudha. Apart from this, a serial ‘Mere Apne’ was also produced, in which Vinod Khanna was seen in the lead role.
After becoming active in politics too, Smriti Irani got completely away from TV. Later, he served as Human Resource Development Minister, Textiles Minister in the Government of India and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge). She served as Union Cabinet Minister for the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Minority Affairs. Now after 25 years, Smriti Irani has returned to the role of Tulsi.
