When users of ‘X’ open the social media platform on their web version, they will now see the x.com page. It’s important to mention that Elon Musk acquired Twitter on April 14, 2022, and changed its name to ‘X’ on July 23, 2023.
However, the platform had continued to use the twitter.com URL, which was announced to be changed to x.com this year. ‘X’ has informed its users in a post that they have changed their URL, but this will not affect their privacy and data security settings.
Elon Musk wants to make ‘X’ a super app. The concept of a super app is that it offers multiple services within a single app. Services such as social media, payment service, ticket booking service, gaming service, and other utility-based services will all be available within the same app.
